Andrea Krook | President 

Andrea is a Regional Advocate for Children of the Nations. 

“I like Retreat Home because it’s an easy, economic solution for families that have lost their home due to various circumstances.” 

Meg Blutzer | Secretary 

Meg currently works as a Clinical Supervisor at Olive Crest, a child welfare nonprofit. 

“I serve on the Retreat Home board because this model encourages the Church to lean into uncomfortable spaces in order to support neighbors in new ways, providing support through the experience.”

Carrie King | Treasurer 

Carrie works in software implementation and serves as Treasurer for the Retreat Home Board of Directors.

“I serve on the board of Retreat Home because I believe there is a Christian responsibility to step in and support those who need a little extra help as they work to secure consistent housing. I believe in Sarah's vision and feel honored to walk alongside her in this work. “

Emily Schmal

Emily is a Senior Manager of the Philanthropy Reps on the Middle Donor team at WorldVision.  

“I am so intrigued by the mission of Retreat Home in providing temporary housing for families on their way to finding permanent housing. My heart is to see the church become an active arm in this mission and community.”
